There is no doubt that the Continental Manufacturers have profited much by the ready access that has been afforded them, to the great Factories of England. I believe it to be equally certain, that our Manufacturers would derive little, from similar inspections upon the Continent, beyond the Satisfaction of witnessing the manifest inferiority of their Rivals, in all that regards, Machinery. But in the cheapness of Manual Labor, they possess over us a decided and fearful advantage.
