price of the Princes' Wool. Last year it sold for 26 Thalers the 22 lbs, about 3s/7d the lb. Twelve fleeces make the bundle of 22 lbs, so that the Average weight is 1 lb 13 oz the fleece.
From Kliphausen, we proceeded to Rothschemberg, where there is another beautiful flock of 1500 Sheep, originally sprung from Kliphausen, and bearing evident marks of its high descent. The two flocks, are in fact, so similar that a separate description is unnecessary.
The Rothschemberg Sheep are in higher condition, better shaped, and larger somewhat, than the Flock at Kliphausen; and I think their fleeces more uniform in quality.
The Lady here takes a very active part in the management of the flock, and in spite of the cold and snow, accompanied us to the Stable. I am the more delighted with the flocks I have seen
