A proprietor of one of the most extensive factories in Yorkshire, was visited by a Belgian Manufacturer, whom he received with the utmost hospitality; & without reserve, permitted to see the various operations & Machinery of his Establishment. After remaining a fortnight, during which time he had free access, at all hours, to the factory, the Belgian took leave, earnestly pressing a return of the Visit. Some months afterwards, the English Manufacturer, being on his way to Germany, to buy Wool, passed through Verviers, where his Belgian friend seemed rejoiced beyond measure to see him, receiving him with great kindness, & escorting him, day after day, to the finest Scenery, & most interesting objects of Antiquity &c in the Neighbourhood. By this means, all mention of the Factory
