In front of their barracks they have planted very pretty flowerbeds and small, but productive vegetable gardens. The soil must be good here because flowers and vegetables are thriving. Particularly the flowers, Phlox, Petunia, sunflowers, etc run wild, and all the differently coloured blooms greatly enhance and enliven the sight.</p><p>Unfortunately, the harmony among the camp members has suffered more and more, and some very ugly personalities have become manifest. One can learn a lot about human nature here! I have got to know many a gentleman all too well and have had many disappointments.
