The Liberal government had a campaign going for [white] immigration, albeit not an adequate one, but since the Labor Party is in office, the campaign has stopped altogether and [white] immigration has decreased significantly. Had the Liberal policy been applied a while longer, and if those southern states had a population of 15-20 million whites by now (which the country could easily feed) instead of five, even the immigration of Japanese and other coloured workers would be no problem. In the more tropical parts of Australia, such as Queensland, Western Australia and Northern Territory, the banning of coloured workers makes no sense, because the vast mass of land has to remain largely undeveloped. But it&rsquo;s downright outrageous when the government applies the policy also to members of other British colonies who clearly belong to the white race. Fact is that recently 214 Maltese people arrived who had paid for their own passage, have British passports and in part even fought in Gallipoli but were refused entry. They are now in quarantine and must eventually return to their country,</p>
