Wilson’s statement is a bottomless impertinence that has to get any German-thinking man’s blood boiling. How can this Yankee have the audacity to dictate to the German people – and that’s what this amounts to – which ruler they should have? It’s a most definite call for insubordination against a ruler and no nation should accept that. Hopefully, they’ve come to the same conclusion in Germany and will finally show some unity.
