that when their neighbours are immersd in fogs they above their heads see the Clear ether upon the whole the town looks far drier than its neighbourhood & from the circumstance of the lower story of shops those streets in which the canals run have a singular appearance.
               
After dinner we went to see an Establishment of the Herenhusians or Moravians at a town called Zeist about six miles off we were not a little pleasd with the simple & unaffected manners of these people their Buildings are extensive & rather beautifull in them they live as a kind of Brotherhood each working & exposing his manufactures to sale in little shops where they are sold for the benefit of the community we attended their service & a decency was observd is seldom to be met with in other religious a hymn began it then the history of one of their bretheren who had traveld far for the propogation of their faith was read to them & a Hymn concluded the whole
