professor of Botany here with him we saw Hermannus's [Hermanus] Herbarium in pretty good condition  Pisou [Willem Piso] which seems to have very ill chosen & very small infinely Oldenlends which is much more numerous & has many very fine large specimens of Common European plants said to be gathered at the Cape of Good Hope.
           
His Collections of Dry plants seemd to be very large & his Library also good drawing he had an immense number generally very indifferent some however done by a daughter of Sybilla Merian very very large & tolerable designd.

2.   In the morn went to see the goods of a dutch family which were to be Sold by auction in April next  saw much good China & some curious chinese drawing particularly one representing the process of making china in general the furniture I mean the usefull part seemd very scanty for the size of the house
