June 15th Still cruising in search of German raider "Amethyst" leaves us to pick up mails.
June 16th Arrived at "Fernando Noronda [Noronha]" a small Island in the South Atlantic used as a Penal settlement by Brazil the Rugged outline looks beautiful silhouetted against the setting sun. we coal ship all night till Friday "Amethyst" Arrives with mail we pull up our hook and leave the "Amethyst" Coaling.
June 25th. Join with "Edinburgh Castle" and two Colliers we leave for Pernambuco to particulars Concerning raider.
June 26th Arrive at Pernambuco and leave again at 6 p.m.
June 27th Arrive back to "Edinburgh Castle" who puts in to Bahia
June 30th "Edinburgh Castle" catches up on us we are to go to "Abrohlos Rocks to Coal & take in Stores.
July 5th. Leave "Abrohlos" for "Monte Video" to relieve "Macedonia"
