Receive word from Intelligence Officer at Buenos Aires that a steamer owned by the German Hamburg South America line has sailed for Coastal ports and straits of Magellan with Cargo & passengers we have orders to Capture her we proceed to "Bahia Blanco", and await her.
Nov 28th Sight steamer at 12.30 we give chase and cut her off the 3 mile limit draw up to her at 1.15pm and fire a shot across her bows her name is "Presidente Mitre" flying Argentine Flag we send boarding party over to her they take charge and we escort her back to the River.
Nov 29th Anchor in the River at 12.30 p.m. bring ship alongside transfer passengers and luggage land these at Monte Video 300 passengers and 81 crew, Among them were American, English, Russian and Argentinos. Land passengers at 6 p.m.
