Nov 4th We run into the region of Icebergs we are treading our way carefully thro' them slowing down at night with extra lookouts. the Icebergs sighted were of immense proportions measuring from 400 to 580 feet for a week we had an exciting time dogi dodging the Bergs the Captain to gain time alters his course to the North to get clear of the Icebergs and pull up some of the lost time as we are to Arrive at Falklands on the 16th as we go further North we run into very rough weather which moderates as we near Cape Horn. after we pass the Cape we run into still rougher weather and bitterly cold. the temperature of the sea water runs about 40 °
