the Invincible had a large hole on the waterline a shell entered the deck was diverted down wards and exploded in the ward room and exploded on the ship's side the "Kent" had 30 odd patches to put on. the Invincible and Inflexible are to return to the North Sea.
Dec 14th Leave with the "Kent" & Colliers to search the Pacific for the "Prinz Eitel Frederick" & "Dresden".
Dec 17th Held up by fog 15 miles from the Entrance to the straits of Magellan. Seals were plentiful numbers of them were swimming around the ship and barking.
Dec 18th Arrived at "Punta Arenas" the most Southerly town in the world & found that the "Dresden" was there before us. she Coaled and Provisioned it is also believed that she took a Chilian Pilot on board to navigate to some hiding place in the Straits
