The foregoing pages contain the greater part of the information obtained by me upon the subject of the production of Fine Wool. I conversed with many other persons, whose names I have not the means of introducing, and it would be needless repetition to do so, as their information was of similar kind. Some general remarks upon the present prices, and their effect on the State of the Flocks, in which nearly all parties concurred, I have reserved for the conclusion.
The most profitable description of Sheep, at present, are those which produce the heaviest fleeces, although of inferior quality. The growth of fine Wool, particularly the finest, barely pays. The sale of Rams from
