exclusive of the Lambs, is 2½ lbs each. Last year, he obtained 24 Thalers the 22 lbs. 3s/3d per lb, for the very best.

General de Leyser sells Rams at from 30 to 50 Thalers, £4. 10, to £7. 10. Ewes at 12 Thalers, 36s/- each.

The 1500 Sheep occupy the attention of six persons. The system of feeding is similar to that, on other Establishments, before described.

Increase of Lambs, 260 to 270 from 300 Ewes. Deaths 5 to 7 per Cent, per annum, on the whole flock. Genl de Leyser is quite devoted to Sheep farming, and appears to conduct it with great System. He told me, he had made many mistakes in the outset, which he was now endeavouring to get the better of, but that it was, unfortunately, much easier to discover, than to remedy them.
