This practice is founded, not upon theory, but actual experience, great losses having been sustained by following an opposite course. Mr Meyer appears to be a very intelligent candid man, and I regret that he proceeded on his Journey during the evening , so as to deprive me of the opportunity of further conversation with him.

Mr Schmidt Polex, a considerable Merchant of this City, and who has seen much of the various parts of Germany, as well as visited France & England, says that about Six Millions of pounds weight of Wool, is sold annually at Frankfort; the greater part of which goes into the Netherlands, and some to France.
