Of course I could only make one answer, and started work the next morning in a very small cold room. My duties are to write letters keep certain registrars and handle confidential correspondence relating to promotions etc, and also to advice on legal matters, chiefly relating to the conduct of courts martial and the confirmation of their findings – all for 9/6 a day. I am expected to have at my fingers ends the King's Regulations, Rules of Procedure
