when I had to go into hospital. I was then taken into Devonport Military Hospital where I remained five days, then going to No1 Command Depot at Perham Downs. I got to Chisholm Camp – the training centre for all cyclist units – on 29 July and found that I was the only man in camp and Captain Ross the only officer, every one else being away on leave. He told me that he was leaving the Coy to take command of ta M.G. Coy.
