We had a sweepstake on the Ships running, I missed the prize by one – just my luck – weather good but cold – usual walking exercise today – nothing to report. The Albertross's [Albatrosses] are still with us some of them must be from 6 to 10 ft from tip of wing to tip – we also have a batch of Mother Careys chickens, they are a dirty brown or black bird about the size of a fowl.
