pretty sick this morning the Dr put a Nurse to dress it, she first amused herself by putting plenty of hot water & squeezing blood out of it & then swabbed it out & over with Iodine – for which I said "Thanks".
I had another misfortune I dropped my patent tobacco pouch & some one has picked it up so I must start old Christie searching the ship.

Weather calm & hot as usual – expect it will continue so from this on – expect to cross the Line on Monday. Dropped my watch again today but it still keeps ticking away. At 4 pm today the alarm was given &
