Friday 4.10.18Weather bright with cool breeze sea fairly calm. One thing about the morning inspection of the ship one gets a fair amount of exercise going all round & up & down the gang ways. We held our Sports meeting this afternoon & shortly after we had finished the wind turned cold & showers of rain came on. We had bicycle races for one legged men & skipping for same they were very good indeed. The bicycles are frames of bikes with treadles & saddle fixed
