Sighted the Australian Coast at 5 am & at 7 we were anchored as usual in the outside of the Harbour, we are getting quite use to disappointments now, word has just come off that as we were at Cape T[own] & Durban we were to be quarantined & up went the yellow flag.  The Authorities here have got the pimps properly, I never saw such silly idiots – we have what they call a "clean ship" yet in spite of this they keep away from us as if we were lepers.  The 6 Offrs [Officers] & 100 men who go off are to be sent straight to a Quarantine Island – Oh the language – we have sent off a letter of protest but by time they
