   The unerring wisdom of  of providence is
not more strongly exemplified than in its guardian
care in pr  providing by means of geological processes

   The Spaniards who invaded Peru and Mexico
were actuated by a greedy thirst of gold, they dis=
possessed two inoffensive nations fast advancing
in civilization, who had distinct notions of property,
of division of lands, and enjoyed laws framed for the
purpose of securing life and protecting property.-
Hence the names of the first invaders of the
Pre Iron Indies and America are in history covered
with incredible infamy.- It does not appear that the
whole population of all the vast islands near
the vast American Continent, and America itself,
exceeded forty millions of inhabitants , and there was still
plenty of room left for emigration from the old
countries of Europe.- Notice with the English they
take possession of large tracks of waste land, they
cut down forests, clear almost impracticable countries,
make the lands productive, open a large field for
commerce, and with their industry also introduce that
[edge missing] igion which of all is the more comfortable to
human nature-- which brings the character of man
