the well-being of the country wherein I am now writing is inseparately connected with that of the mother country, and as the general prosperity of that the mother country again is consequent upon that of the whole community of the world. - - Therefore I shall now here take a review of the political state of Europe, as what is there passing most in various ways have an influence over the interests of the Colony, and I shall do this fearless of broaching opinions, maxims, and doctrines, which the received opinions of mankind, prejudices, old [indecipherable] had hypocrisy, may contradict vene.
   
The press of  Europe is teaming with paragraphs holding forth its applause in exulting strains the applauses of the
French for having offered a noble resistance to tyranny, and other nations having followed the glorious example
are lifted lauded  to the skies. - Universal happiness, and freedom to all, must by them be the rewards of so much valour and patriotism. Great Britain sails down the stream with the triumphant tri-coloured flag floating in the air, and Britannia weeps weeping  over her folly in so often trampling on an flag Ensign to which  her sons is are now crouching as if that the tri-colour is the only symbol of liberty and,
