From Circular Head the mission proceeded to Emu Bay on the North Coast, where two of the Blacks Limeblunna and Nickey [indecipherable] were in the act of spearing one of the Van Dieman's Land Company's horses. The latter made his escape, and was again captured by a Mr Walpole, when the levy on masse was in the field. Two more Parropa and [indecipherable] (brothers,) were captured at the River Mersey. The mission proceeded along the North Coast to Cape Portland. This was in November 1830 when the levy on mass or line was in operation. Some of the Aborigines arrived at Cape Portland; telling the white men, in a great fright, that thousands of Soldiers and others were after Black man in all directions. Mr Robinson was not present at the time, Alexander McGeary, Alexander McKay, Joseph Platt, Thomas Nicklow, Joseph McLean (a Native of Owyhee) formed the party.

They succeeded in taking them at persuading them to (thirteen in number with forty two dogs) to go over to Swan island to be out of the way of the Soldiers. Those Natives had with them
