Sir I beg respectfully to lay before you a detail of my proceedings relative to the late operations with respect to the hostile Aborigines.
In April 1830, I was appointed by the Government to the situation of Coxswain under the immediate orders of Mr G. A. Robinson employed in a joint and pacificating mission to the hostile Blacks of the Island. In this capacity I continued till November of the same year, when the operations of that gentleman being directed more exclusively to the Capture of the Big River Tribe, I availed myself of the opportunity which offered of extending my line of duty to the taking without violence and bloodshed, of such Aborigines as might be prowling
us that he belonged to the Big River
