Bloss none, unless the calyx be considered as such.

Stam. Filaments 5, standing in the divisions of the cup, thread shaped Anthers double, incumbent, on short horizontal footslalks, terminating the fil-ments.

Pist Germen somewhat depressed Style very short. Summit 3, blunt.

A slender shrub, sometimes attaining 6 feet high Bark brown, downy on the upper part, Branches alternate, short, thickly covered with leaves and flowers.  Leaves scattered, on short footstalks, of a dark green , and hairy on the upper surface, with white down underneath.  Flowers in small heads, axillary, generally from 3 to 5 together; fruit stalks very short, surrounded at the base with an involucrum of small dead colored leaves.  Sometimes this
