Pentandria Digynia Stretfordia
Cal. Umbel of about 5 spokes. Umbellules of more.  General Involucrum of as many leaves as there are spokes, small spear-shaped  Partial of about 5 leaves, as above.  Cup indistinct.

Bloss. General uniform. Florets all fertile Individual petals 5, egg-shaped, equal, flat, horizontal.

Stam. Filaments 5, hair-like, shorter than the blossom, Anthers roundish, fixed sideways.

Pist. Germen beneath Styles 2, very short. Summits simple.

S. Vess none. Fruit compressed, roundish, scored, divisible into 2 parts. 

Seeds 2, somewhat egg-shaped, compressed, convex on one side, scored, flat on the other.

Stem woody, lower part being upon the ground, branching; branches spreading.  Leaves small, scattered, sitting, strap-spear shaped. Flowers white. Plants about 9 inches high, of a strangish smell.
