bark. Branches numerous, thickly set on the upper part. Younger branches, or leaves, variously divided, and branching, absolutely 3 square, with 3 angles, of a glaucous silky color; each angle ending in a small prominent blunt point, and then beginning again a fresh angle, the next ending in a similar manner, and so on with the third. Flowers towards the ends of the branches, each on its proper formed stalk, which is short, but gets gradually thicker, & terminates in the calyx.  Calyx of a glaucous silky color, with 2 small teeth a little below the base, teeth red within at the base. Petals light orange. Standard large, almost semicircular, with a semicircular red toothed ring at the base Anthers orange Germen covered with white hairs. Flowers of a sweet smell. Wood when burning emitting an offensive smell. Keel sometimes long as the wings.
