Boronia serrulata
Rises to about 2 feet high, and variously branched Leaves rhomboid, of a dark green, with a brown margin, minutely & unequally serrated, terminating in a sharp point, with transparent dots when held to the light. Flowers terminal, several together, on short peduncles. Calyx of a dark red, segment tapering to a point. Bloss, petals 4, bright crimson. Stamens 8, each filament alternately longer, & ending in a large protuberance, all of them of a crimson color, with white hairs. Anthers of on foot-stalks, inserted to the innerside of the protuberance. Germen with 4 lobes, surrounded at the base with an entire fleshy ring, Summit globular, with 4 absolute divisions. Leaves opposite, erect, & being so close & flat to the stem as if they had been pressed in a press. The scent of angustifolia.
Mr White is not to be credited in saying that its flowers are rose scented, nor and that it is so much admired.
Dr Smith's figure too pale a color.
