style, with a small glutinous gland on the upper part, attached to the summit.  Summit very glutinous. Anthers 2, united, broader on the lower part, with a small white thread like point near the upper end, which on seperating the anthers divides into 2, & resembling short filaments. There are only 1 or 2 flowers open at a time, & the nectary is the only conspicuous part that first gives an attention. Nectary yellowish green at the base.  The summit being an oblong closed cavity gives the appearance of 2 lobes: Sometimes it is crescent shaped.

Leaves heart shaped, on leaf stalks.
Stem panicled.

Stem nakedish of leaves, 3 or 4 feet high. Leaves heart shaped, smooth, absolutely scalloped, or toothed.  Radical ones on long tapering cylindrical leaf stalks; stamens sheathing, & grooved on the lower part. Flowers in panicles, with a small egg-spear-shaped leaf at the divisions, or base or base of the fruitstalks. Blossom deeply divided, yellow. Segments finely waved at the edge, having at the base, hairs yellow, with a few white ones at the base. Summit with 2 large lobes, compressed.
