Sunday 3rd October. Overhauled steamer Crosby Hall this morning, but she put a spurt on and got ahead of us again. Passed the Leeuwin 270 miles off at 1am this morning, thereby passing from the Indian Ocean into the Southern Ocean. Fairly big sea running making ship roll a good deal all day.
Monday 4th to Wed 5th Oct. Fairly big sea running weather cold.
Thursday 6th Oct. Sea almost calm all day. Spent a good deal of the morning packing things ready to leave for home soon after
