fairly high sea running which made the boat pitch & roll a good deal. No boats or land visible all day. Usual nightly exercise.
Wednesday 1st September 1915. Helping the Purser make up the overtime sheets occupied the whole morning. Nothing exciting happened during the day. Usual training after 8pm.
Thursday 2nd Septr. 1915. Sea very rough all day making the ship roll frightfully. Made me feel very indisposed though able to eat all meals and perform full watches. At tea time lots of cutlery rolled right off the table and all other table
