the journey was resumed. Our approach to the equator brings an increase in temperature daily, and all doors & ports are left wide open to allow the breezes to cool the cabins. While we were at dinner the purser left the port and door of his office wide open. The breeze certainly cooled the cabin, but it made things too hot for some papers which I had been working on, and they were scattered far & wide. A couple were found in the scuppers, a crowd more on the deck and two or three missing.
