Sunday 29th August 1915. Though the sea was more moderate than it was last night, it was still running fairly high this morning. For a couple of hours after breakfast we had the mates phonograph in the chart room and murdered all the old favourites again. This morning we are a fortnight out from Middlesbrough and at noon the position was 110 miles north of the Equator, land being about 1200 miles away.
