light cruiser we passed this morning was the "Pioneer" of the Australian Squadron and which has Austln reservists as the crew; she has been anchored here for the past couple of weeks.
Monday 13th Septr. This morning Natal Mercury had a big article in the shipping column concerning our brave craft. At 11am a representative of one of the other papers came aboard and received particulars of our voyage from the Purser and had a big article in the news page of tonights paper. After tea had music in the 2nd Mates room till bed.
Tuesday 14th Sept. At 6am we were shifted to a berth
