Pages 1-164, prepared for printing in Jan. 1844, appear to be the printed book mentioned by W.S.Davidson in a letter dated Sep. 30, 1844, pp. 165-176, being the "enclosed printed paper" mentioned in his letter of Jan. 27, 1846, in which letter he makes a reference also to the earlier printed papers sent at his request to R. Jones. It should be noted that in some portions of this document the pagination is omitted. Some pages have been numbered in ink by a contemporary writer. Pp. 165-171 bear numbers in pencil supplied by me.]
