[Page 70]

has heated me – and how my [Sous?] Eastern prospects have been thereby blasted – all arising out of the New South Wales affair! –

When the Duplicates reach, there will be two Books to spare, and I would beg the favor of your letting one of them reach our friend Richard Jones, privately from me.

I should also wish him to see the manuscript "Case" when convenient, for this is due to one, who long & honestly as well as disinterestedly managed my affairs in New South Wales, forming such a striking contrast to the Conduct of my own Nephew! – Will you kindly, on the arrival of the MidLothian, direct the Consignee how to dispose of the Box of papers, and the same to Mr De Salis, on the Genl. Hewett being reported. – I congratulate you heartily on the result of the present Wool Sale, of which Edward writes you by this Mail. –

Believe me, with Cordial good wishes,
Very sincerely yours,
W. S. Davidson
