meet again, and at greater leisure:– Your Bank seems to us all to promise exceedingly well, eventually, and you may be guided by our many errors in the West, to avoid some of the rocks on which Establishments in England once very flourishing have completely suffered shipwreck –  I think you will be well pleased with the result of James's negociation abt. the Agency in London – it appeared to me that the employment of two London Bankers was quite unnecessary & may do mischief, but those of much wiser Knowledge & experience than myself seem to have thought otherwise, and it gives me pleasure to think that the arrangement is likely to meet with your entire concurrence. – 

Respecting the exchange of Belmont there appears to have arisen some extraordinary mistake or cross-purpose, as James has already explained to you – He had quite a different idea of the details of yr. negociation with Mr Jones, and we now await your answer, with an authentic copy of yr. letter to Mr Jones – James was confident of an equivalent of land having been offer'd Mr J.
