My dear Davidson,
I return you many Thanks for your kind Letter, naming Mr. Lawrence of Liverpool to whom I have written about the Rock Salt, & I now send you a hasty Line to say that a day or two since I forwarded a Note of Introduction to you by Captain Mallard, of the Persian – lately from Sydney, and to return in a few days with the Mail. I wished him to call at St. James's St. as well to See you, as to receive the Medal of the Society of Arts to be conveyed by so good an opportunity to my Brothers.
