ask a thousand questions which any affectionate solicitude about his beloved N. S. Wales family will prompt me to assail him with in rapid succession –  and at our residence in Upper Brook Street I can promise him a most hearty and cordial welcome, for my beloved Wife already knows him, and esteems his character very much –  It is with unfeigned satisfaction that I hear from time to time of the success of all your affairs in New South Wales, whilst in this quarter it is highly gratifying to me to know and to say that, you possess an affectionate and most able Agent, who never slumbers in his post or allows any opportunity of rendering you Service, to pass unprofitably. It is impossible for me to speak of his talents and merits, in adequate terms of praise, and although the way be both rugged and thorny, as well as long and circuitous, it is impossible for his attached friends not to look for pleasing and great results, in the
