that I have felt for her, from the moment I had an opportunity of knowing her goodness & worth & which have been invariable and unvaried – My pride & delight would be particularly great if I were so fortunate as to find an opportunity of presenting my dear Anne to her – and often do I enquire of John if there be any chance of our ever seeing you both in this Country. 

He answers doubtingly, and really I do not wonder at it, when the relative merits of the Countries are dispassionately considered, under particular circumstances, but it is grievous to think of no definite period to the separation of attached Friends, and I cannot make up my mind to cease putting the question, accordingly. –
