[Page 103]

[Page written and then crossed.]

be Sealed up, addressed to James Macarthur Esqre New South Wales, and delivered to Captain Mallard when he calls for it.

The Weather seems inclined to take up and be warm – If it do, there will be a splendid Harvest in Ireland, where little of no injury had been yet done to the Crops by the Rain.

In haste
Ever very sincerely yrs
J Macarthur

[Crossed section:]

P.S. I wish you had told me whether Richard Jones has had the opportunity I begged you to be so good as to afford him, of perusing the printed papers, as I have never heard from Him –

I think it right he shd, see how this new friend healed his Character, that he may be the better able to value an old and tried friend, who never deceived Him, or anyone else, I hope, wilfully. – I think if he had read the papers through, He wd. certainly have written to me.
