Your esteemed letter of 26th May I received on the 18th inst - it gives all here great pleasure to learn that yourself and the other members of the family in England were in good health, for the photograph you were so kind as to inclose I beg to offer my thanks, it is an excellent likeness, showing me that the climate of Europe agrees with you Sir well, better I fancy than that of New South Wales. I also beg to tender my thanks for your sympathy with our family in their bereavement, my brother's widow and her three young children are living at Sydney having disposed
