My dear Sir William

I beg to enclose the receipts on account of the (47) head of Store Cattle.  (3) I drafted out being rather small, which will reduce the amount by £9, nine pounds unless you would wish to have them sent to the Paddocks.

I am surprised to find the Cattle were not delivered to Howeth, I ordered the man to do so, and went with him nearly to Cawdor
