Ayrshire I saw a worse cow, also entered for Glasgow, which had been sold at £50.  But such are fancy prices and are only paid for fancy animals.  Still with the freight and other expenses a fancy price should be paid to secure the best possible.

The young bull of which I wrote I intend to take a good judge today to look at and if he is quite satisfied that he will suit I will send him.  The price is very moderate, indeed being only £8.  The animal is out of a prize cow never [beat?], the sire a prize bull and the breeder Mr. Macadam has with his father taken
