prizes regularly for the last forty years, the period when shows first commenced in Scotland.  The late Duke of Montrose got up the first at Drymen.  Mr. Macadam's father obtained the first prize for the best bull.  This bull the Duke purchased on the ground and was named "Adam".

I return to Edinburgh today or Monday, when I will again write as to the best way of sending the stock to London from Scotland.  From Granton by Steamship to London price £4 for the four.  By railway to London about £8.  By ship the stock are landed
