Wednesday morning.  The Station Master being absent Mr. Macadam left the order with the porter, "To make matters sure".  Mr. Macadam wrote a letter to the Station Master who admits receiving it next morning also the message left with the porter.  Owing to some mismanagement the horse-box did not arrive at the Balfron Station before midday on the Wednesday.  The cattle were forwarded at the Station before 8 O'clock and Mr. Macadam with his servants in attendance to see them safely placed in the horse box.

The law agents in Stirling consulted by Mr. Macaddam, Messrs. Hill in Cathcart wrote to the Secretary of the Forth and Clyde Railway demanding the repayment of the difference between the sum charged
