Gentlemen

On consideration of Messrs. Cockerell & Co. of Calcutta paying to our order from the net proceeds of your Horses pr. "Blundell" sold at Calcutta such sums as he may require at that port to Mr. G.A. Plaistowe we undertake to honor Mr. G.A. Plaistowe's bills upon us at 60 d/sight payable to your order for the amount so received:  the Rupee to be taken at the exchange of the day for Treasury or good Bills at 60 d/sight on London, and the Bills to bear five pr cent interest.
