Copy of letter to the Registrar Genl. with official application for Registration of Brands.

Camden Park, 1st January 1867

Sir

In conformity with the Provisions of 30 Victoria No. 12, the Registration of Brands Act of 1886, we have the honour to transmit herewith an application for the Registration of our Brands for Horses & Cattle with £2 the required amount of Fees.

As these Brands have descended to us from our Father and have then been in our possession without alteration certainly during a period of more than fifty years, in that since the practice of branding animals was first introduced in this Colony we trust that we shall be looked upon as holding a superior right to any one else to retain them without alteration should application be made by other parties to register similar brands. by other parties
