Dear Sir

In answer to your favour of the 27th instant, I have to state that upon receipt I called upon Mr. Macadam in order to obtain full information as to what took place in connection with the delay in forwarding the cattle.  He had previously written me as to the facts, but these letters are in Edinburgh.  Mr. Macadam states that immediately upon the receipt of the letter from the shipping agent he went to the Balfron Station, this on the Monday evening, to order a horse-box for the following
